Migration without interruption

You change systems. Your customers never notice.

Your numbers belong to you. We build the new system in parallel, forward your numbers to temporary numbers so your calls land on it right away, then port them. The old system stays in service until everything has been verified.

What happens, in order

Four steps. Zero downtime.

  1. 1

    Inventory

Your numbers, your extensions, your current menus, your hours. We write everything down, including what your current invoice is hiding.

  2. 2

    Parallel build

Your new dedicated server is built and tested with you, using your real scenarios, while the old system keeps running.

  3. 3

    Forwarding, then porting

Your current numbers are forwarded to temporary numbers: your calls are already landing on the new system. The porting request runs its course without holding you up.

  4. 4

    Verification, then cancellation

Once your numbers are ported and everything has been verified, we cancel the old service for you. Never before.

What you should know

Number porting, without the jargon

Your numbers belong to you

In Canada, your current provider cannot refuse to transfer an active number. It can require that the account be in good standing and that the details match its invoice — we check them before submitting.

Never cancel before the port

A number cancelled before its transfer can be lost. That is why we handle the cancellation after the switch, not before.

No extra monthly fees

Porting is a one-time fee per number, shown in the quote. 911 is reconfigured the same day: every ported number is tied to your civic address.

The timeline does not hold you up

Porting takes anywhere from a few days to two weeks, depending on your current provider. Thanks to forwarding, your new system is already in service in the meantime.

Your desk phones

Compatible IP phones are reconfigured ahead of time; the others are replaced before the switch. Nothing stops ringing.

Your recordings and voicemails

They generally do not transfer from one system to another. We help you export them before cancelling, if your provider allows it.

What your customers notice during the migration: nothing.

Same number, same greeting, same people answering. What changes is behind the scenes: a dedicated server, monitoring, and a team that picks up.

Questions about migrating

Can I port only some of my numbers?

Yes. We port what you want to keep and help you cancel the rest — often lines you have been paying for nothing.

My current contract is not over. What then?

We work out with you what the penalty costs against what waiting costs. In many cases the migration can be built now and the switch done at the end of the term.

Do I need to change my email, website or Internet service?

No. The phone system is independent of your Internet provider. If your connection is weak, we measure it and tell you.

What if something does not work after the switch?

The old system is still there, and a technician who knows the build is on the line. That is precisely why we only cancel the old service after verification.

Tell us who your current provider is. We will tell you how it goes.

We have already ported numbers from most providers in Québec. We know their timelines and their requirements.
